The Lareka team wishes you Happy Easter!

Updated: 01 April 2026

This year we chose to celebrate Easter a little differently. We would like to draw your attention to the Easter-themed packaging of one of our clients, Chocolaterie DuPLESSIS.

Perfectionism and creativity lie at the core of DuPLESSIS’s work. They specialize in neapolitans and chocolate boxes featuring images of French sites and monuments with the aim of taking the customer on a journey through France by making use of storytelling and immersive packaging. One of the advantages of creating such chocolate boxes is that they catch a lot of attention of the customers when exposed on a shelf. This is not only due to the size of the box but also because of the variety of colours and figures that are shown on each chocolate bar.

Furthermore, DuPLESSIS’s chocolate boxes have a very large footprint as they often contain from 8 to 36 Neapolitains weighing between 5gr and mini-tablets (made on a second size set) weighing 10gr. Even though the weight of the full box of chocolate from DuPLESSIS is the same as other common bars worldwide (90 gr), thanks to the distribution and position of the Neapolitains the size of the final product is much bigger than the other bars. This is a great way of visually standing out from the competition’s products on the shelf.

DuPLESSIS came to Lareka with a goal: they wanted to replace two of their old wrapping machines with a safer and more efficient solution. After learning more in depth about DuPLESSIS, their needs and goals, we recommended a Lareka NP60 machine equipped with a buffer belt with dropping station as the most suitable option.

Following Lareka’s recommendation, DuPLESSIS now wraps their neapolitans on a Lareka NP60 machine designed with a buffer belt with a dropping station. This is a large surface area on which the operators place the chocolate bars, in this case napolitains, to be fed into the machine and being wrapped. Adding a buffer belt system is a great way to ensure a stable, uninterrupted workflow which further improves efficiency throughout the whole production process. Although they use two operators to run the NP60, the buffer belt allows one of them to free up time for other tasks. Thanks to the combination of the NP60 and the buffer belt with a dropping station, DuPLESSIS is now able to achieve higher and consistent output.

As of today, they are considering purchasing a second NP60 that will allow them to share this position and have a single operator responsible for supplying both machines.

Would you like to learn more about the Lareka machines and see which one fits best by your production line?
