No Bars Left Behind with the Lareka ‘Buffer belt with Dropping Station’

At Lareka we keep improving our machines and learning about new technologies. We are always trying to develop extra functionalities to make our machines more efficient, consistent and user-friendly. One of our biggest improvements so far has been the ‘Buffer belt with dropping station’. What differentiates this system from the previous one is the redesigned dropping station which aims at smoothly transferring the product from the buffer belt to the machine.

What is the Lareka Buffer belt with dropping station?

The buffer belt with dropping station is a large surface area (around 1.5 sq m) on which the operators place the chocolate bars to be fed into the Lareka machine. This mechanism ensures a stable and uninterrupted workflow which further improves efficiency throughout the wrapping process. Moreover, the dropping station was carefully designed to ensure a smooth and seamless transition of the chocolate bars into the machine.

The Lareka buffer belt with dropping station is compatible with both the BTB25 and the NP60. For the NP60 you can buffer the machine for 14 minutes on the smallest product. On the BTB25 you can buffer for 34 minutes on the smallest product.

As shown in the video down below, when equipped with a buffer belt system, the Lareka NP60 machine is able to keep running for 14 minutes (when wrapping the minimum size of chocolate bar). This allows operators to have more uptime to focus on other tasks while the machine is running.

A few of our customers have already opted for a Buffer belt with a dropping station as an addition to their Lareka machine. To run the machine at full capacity, often our customers have 2 operators at the machine, one to feed chocolate bars and one to put the wrapped chocolate in a display box. The bufferbelt allows the operator feeding the chocolate to perform other tasks besides feeding chocolate.
