“Really good chocolate can be life-changing’’. This is the goal of Donini, a Canadian chocolate company making their own chocolate since 1950. A fun fact about Donini is that the company was initially launched in the North of Italy, where they began making their speciality: hollow chocolate for the holidays (snowmen for Christmas, bunnies and eggs for Easter, etc.). After moving to Canada they immediately realised that the chocolate market for Canada was completely different than in Italy and rather than hollow chocolate, Canadians preferred solid chocolate instead!

Donini was looking for a chocolate packaging machine capable of handling five different chocolate bars formats. Each bar varied in size, with one featuring crunchy hazelnuts. This required the machine to be designed specifically for maintaining consistent wrapping quality across different product dimensions and textures.

Designed for efficiency and versatility, the BTB25 switches between the four bar sizes while maintaining high wrapping quality. The machine wraps the bars in two layers of full envelope style packaging, giving each chocolate bar an elegant, premium appearance on the shelf while providing product protection during storage.

Whether wrapping plain chocolate bars or bars with hazelnuts, the BTB25 delivers reliable results with minimal downtime for product changeovers. This enables Donini to respond quickly to market demand while maintaining the high-quality presentation their customers expect.
